Tre Cime di Lavaredo, also called the Drei Zinnen in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy, are probably one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. I’ve been lucky to be there several times.

This was my first outdoor multi-pitch climb and boy I was in for a surprise. This was a great experience and weather was just what I love. Lots of fog and atmosphere, windy enough to clear the clouds in between, exhilarating multi-pitch climb, and one of the best sunsets with unparalleled vantage point. What more can one ask for.
