Cadair Idris Revisited
I've been standing on some precarious places to make images however this one tops them all. With my climbing shoes I was praying the rubber holds the rock and Mark (lead) holds me if I fall. This is a panorama of the handheld vertical mages made with Sony NEX6 and kit lens. Please click to view large.
Mark at the fantastic but precarious vantage point. By the time I reached there it was sunset time and one of the best light I have ever witnessed. Click to view large.
This was my first outdoor multi-pitch climb and boy I was in for a surprise. This was a great experience and weather was just what I love. Lots of fog and atmosphere, windy enough to clear the clouds in between, exhilarating multi-pitch climb, and one of the best sunsets with unparalleled vantage point. What more can one ask for.
It was difficult to process panorama above with my old and dying iMac. However, I recently upgraded to the new Mac Mini M1. And stitching those 8 frames was a breeze.
I thought the best way to showcase this experience is via a video/photo combination. Here is Cadair Idris via table top. Hope you enjoy.
