Pre-visualisation or Discovery
I took out my telephone lens and attached it to the camera and was trying to compose the scene. It was a decent composition with the moon just next to the trees. This is what I had pre-visualised when I first saw the scene. And then out of nowhere these starlings just flew by and landed on the tree. I could then sense that their flying is linked to my inner feeling of longing for freedom. Longing to be outside. Be alive. And then they decided to fly to the moon.

Radioactive Collapsible Leica Summicron 50mm/f2
Last year I sold my beloved Summicron 35mm version IV which was in a stunning optical condition. To replace it I decided to check out if there are any other lenses with rare earth elements. It turns our Leica and couple other manufacturers tried it for various reasons.
How good is this Canon FD lens?
Just how good is the Canon FD 35mm/f2.8 SSC TS lens? Short answer: Very Good.You can check out my review done a couple of years back here. This is now my go-to lens for a landscape trip along with Loxia 21mm and Canon EOS 90mm TS-E lens.

Another visit to the favorite part of UK, Wales. I had hiked this small national trust trail in the past and knew it presents some opportunities for black and white images. The final exposure was 7” with reciprocity for Fuji Neopan which I’m becoming fan of.
