I have been hiking on the famous adler weg since 2001. It was a discussion over a weekend on what to do with a friend who used to hike in the alps that I got to know about the region. One thing led to another and this became a ritual. Once we moved to the UK this slowly became a yearly affair. Pandemic forced a three year hiatus. However, all that changed this year when I had the opportunity. Change of weather pattern meant the valley was still quite green and t above treeline there was plent of snow. I really enjoyed this two day hike with almost all seasons thrown into the mix, just like Antonio Vivaldi’s Le quattro stagioni or Vier Jahreszeiten.
