Spring is in the air
Ever since my plantar fascia rupture, my hikes and climbs have almost stopped. I’ve been on the recovery curve, pushing myself only to find back to where it all started. Five cortisol injections, shock wave therapy, dry needling and all sorts of massages have not really helped. I’m now working with a sports physio and concentrating on nutritional intake. Hopefully one day I will be back in the mountains as they have been calling for a while now.
However, I’ve been pursuing my TWTW project with some decent consistency. It is nothing but walks in the local woodlands but with a camera. Not with the intention of making an image necessarily. That is a bonus. But with the intention of being out there. As I carry minimum equipment, Olympus OMD EM1 Markii + 12-45mm/f4 Pro and Olympus LS-P4 for audio, it is not stressful on the ligament. The total weight is less than 1kg/2lbs. I sometimes carry a Fuji medium format with a single lens for photography. Add on my portable camping stove with some biscuits, I’m all set.
This film is from the spring walk of 2022. It was a breezy day with the sun playing hide and seek behind the clouds. All the Deciduous Trees were blooming. Robin, tits, Finch, Wren, Dunnock, Black Bird and Magpie singing in full flow, the woods became nature's orchestra. It is extremely therapeutic and a great excuse to be away from the buzz.
Stand Out. Fuji 50R+Pentax 75mm with Shift.
