Come join me for this adventure of a lifetime where we will explore a beatiful maple valley, hike the misty mountains and go where the eagles dare. You will be accompanied by like minded enthusiasts interested in experiences and learning to capture the fleeting light.

When : 6th - 9th October 2023

6th October

I will pick you up at the Munich Airport at prescheduled time. We will then go and collect some individuals from the Munich Central station. We will arrive at our mountain hut where you will be shown your room and other amenities. This will be our home for the next 3 nights.

In the evening we will explore the valley and assess where we stand photographically. We will discuss about light and challenges to use your existing system. We then do a quick dinner at a local restaurant.

7th October

In the next morning, we get up early and have a breakfast before heading to the mountains. We explore one of the routes of Adler Weg. You will need to carry sufficient water and layers as the weather changes very quickly all around the year in this part of the world. The expected elavation gain for this day is 400m or 1600m above sea level. We will aim to return to our huts by 19:00 so we can enjoy our well earned dinner. We will discuss images from individuals, strengths and merits of the composition. How it could have been improved etc.

8th October

Not very different to the previous day however the total elevation gain will be 700m or circa 1900m above sea level. This route offers one of the bext experience of the trip with towering cliffs and an excellent mountain hut where we will have our early dinner and grab some snacks. If the skys are clear we will incorporate night time photography.

9th October

We will explore the excellent valley which offers maple trees which may have reached the peak colors at this point in time. However, it is sometimes just a little early or little late. In the afternoon I will drop you back to either the Munich airport or the central station. Unless of course, you also have decided to join me for the Dolomites trip.

What's included and What isn’t

You will be staying in a mountain hut with a double room. You will be provided with comfortable bedding etc and wood for the fire should it get very cold. Shower room and toilets will be accessible. I can also furnish special en-suite double rooms if requested, they are not the standard. A healthy and kingsly mountain breakfast with excellent coffee is included. You will have access to clean drinking water as well. Please note we won’t be staying in a 5-star hotel but a comfortable mountain hut during the stay. Tuition, coaching, guidance, help and support from myself during the entire workshop is included. I will take care of the planning, location selection, weather forecasting and logistics surrounding what we will shoot, how this suits the weather conditions we are presented with and how we can get the most from the groups learning objectives during the day. This is limited to a small group of 6 people only. You'll be responsible for Travel to the meeting location (Munich Airport/Central Station) at the beginning of the workshop (and visa if needed) and anywhere you need to get to once the workshop finishes from Munich Airport/Central Station. You should dress for all elements including wind, rain and snow-fall. Good hiking shoes are essential as are gloves. You should bring all your photography gear you deem necessary. However, I will let you decide and happy to guide on what is useful. No form of insurance is included. Food and drink on the day is not included either.

Cost

£350 all inclusive. If you book both (Adler Weg & Dolomites) the workshops, I will add 20% discount to the final price.

Please note once you book the workshop, you need to pay 10% of the fees which is non-refundable. You will receive further instructions in December for reminder of payment. 3 months before the workshop date all of the reminder (90%) fees is refundable. If it is less than 90 days but more than 30 days when you cancel for some reason, only 50% is refundable. 30 days or less cancellation will lead to no refund.

DOLOMITES PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Come join me for this this experience tour of Dolomites where we will explore the beautiful area around Drei Zinnen. You will be accompanied by like minded enthusiasts interested in experiences and learning to capture the fleeting light.

When : 9th - 12th October 2023

9th October

I will pick you up at the Munich Airport at prescheduled time. We will then go and collect some individuals from the Munich Central station. We will be meeting/collecting some of previous workshop clients on the way to Dolomites at the German border. We will arrive at our mountain hut where you will be shown your room and other amenities. This will be our home for the next 3 nights.

10-12th October

We will hike around Drei Zinnen and learn the principles of landscape photography, composition. During the evening we will review the images and how one can edit those images for matching what we saw. If the light is favourable we will explore night time photography. This is limited to 6 people only so you will get my full attention and learning outcomes you intend. Most of the hikes do not involve more than 150m of elevation gain but we will cover about 3-5km of distance each day.
