वासुदेव आला हो वासुदेव आला

इच्चेच्या झाडाला बांधलाय घोडा
घालूनिया घावं सारे बंध तोडा
नको रे उशीर वेळ फार झाला
वासुदेव आला हो वासुदेव आला

A nomadic tribe, seen mostly in Maharashtra. They go from temple to temple, and even along streets, enacting the stories of Krishna through song and dance. They wear on their head, a cap, made with peacock feathers, and usually wear the traditional dhotis with an uttariya. I was lucky to spend a few days at excellent #woodwinds #homestay. And this fella just walked by while I was enjoying an excellent "Honey Tea" by Varsha. I started to do a short video and decided to make a quick portrait. I did not realise I carried over the settings from the video on my tiny Olympus OM EM-ii. I was a bit disappointed then but this was the only image that worked. #woodwinds's red facade reflected late morning light on his face and attire.
